Trademarks

A trademark is a sign that makes it possible for a manufacturer to distinguish his goods or services from the goods or services of another company. It can be a word, but also a logo, a combination of letters or figures, a colour, a type of packaging, or even a sound or smell.

Industrial designs

An industrial design is the ornamental or aesthetic aspect of an article. The form of an implement may be three-dimensional (e.g. furniture, appliances, etc.). In this case we talk of industrial designs. Drawings are two-dimensional forms.

Appellations of origin

A protected appellation of origin is granted to products of which the production, processing and preparation take place within a specific geographic region and according to a recognised and controlled method.

Treaties & classifications

International standards have been established over the years that help to streamline IP protection. Various treaties contribute to better protection, to easier registration and clear classification of the industrial property rights.
