1. Wat is Common Law? Special legislation is in force in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States. Trade names or trademarks used, which are not necessarily registered, have the same rights as registered trademarks. These names can be found in magazines, books, guides, etc.

2. What marks are there in the United States? There are 3 types of marks in the US: Federal, State and Common Law. Do you want to be sure that no American trademarks stand in the way of yours? Then we recommend watching or searching all three.
Federal Marks are valid throughout the entire US and are comparable to national registrations in other countries. They form the most important group.
State Marks have been registered in one or more states. These are often marks from local producers who only sell their products in the states concerned.
Common Law Marks are not necessarily registered but are still protected by use. They appear in trade journals or specific databases.

3. What is the difference between the Vienna and Locarno classification? The codes for device marks were defined in the Vienna agreement.
